Ill second coastal silkworms... only complaint is they use the petri dishes (hate them). Ive also gotten eggs from spryo/mori

I’m planning on starting silkworms soon too. Costal silkworms have good prices on amazon I noticed.

They do, I think you can request them loose. Im just not a fan of petri dishes

That is because you have hatching them and growing them down to an art form now. lol Very jealous of your skills.

@Beman I am giving it a go and you can also. It's worth a try. Heck I am shocked I had all cocoons hatch and tons of eggs now. Just waiting for them all to turn dark. We are strong sister and can do this

@Beman I know you can master breeding silkworms. It just takes some patience and maybe a bit of trial and error and before you know it, voila’...you’re thinking nothing of it.

They start off sooooooo tiny.. It stresses me lol. Here I am going to feed them off but I am worried about killing them when they are babies

Honestly mine are thriving on almost neglect at this point. I’ve stopped the ritual cleaning and just try to let their food dry out and keep moving them to the clean side of their bin. I have them in a pretty good size bin so there’s room for them to move around .
