Silkworm eggs, question

I received some silkworm eggs today, along with the mulberry food. I have a couple of containers and a sheet of mesh.
My question is, what now? Do I put the eggs in, on or under the food, or no food until hatched? Do I put the food on or under the mesh?
Although it said directions would be included when I ordered them, there was none

Hello,

I put the eggs in a petri dish and put them in an incubator, or if you want you can leave them at room temperature so long as it’s not too cold in the house. Once the babies hatch you want to lightly grate food on top of them. Tiny pieces and you will want a small amount. I usually end up feeding them twice a day for the first week. Once they start to over crowd the petri dish I then dump them in to the Tupperware container w mesh and continue to grow them in there. I feed small amounts daily as to not waste food that will dry out or go to waste.

I put mine into a small plastic container and put it on top of my chameleons terrarium. So during the day his heat-lamp would keep them warm....they still took about 3 weeks to hatch. As soon as they hatch you need to put some food in for them and put new food in everyday (or check it everyday because if it dries out they will die) make sure to put food close to them because when they first hatch they don't have enough strength to get to the food themselves...within a week they are able to squiggle to food....I find it to much work to hatch them and get them to a size big enough to feed off....but its defiantly the cheaper road ;-)

Good luck!

Oh, one more thing. How long will the eggs last,if unhatched? Or would I have to start hatching the full 250? Kath.
