Silkworm cocoon question?

So I have one lousy little cocoon here out of all my worms. I asked before about the hatching period. I know it has been over a week and as I recall someone told me about a week. Just wanted to know if there is a chance some of them never hatch and die in the cocoon. I mean I don't wanna keep this thing around til Christmas!!! Thanks guys!

Hey carol! Ive read that its around a week to 10 days as well, but im guessing there are exceptions ive got 8 goin right now so hopefully they will all hatch together or in close succession so that they will mate and give me lots of eggs

I think it has been about a week. I could have sworn I saw it "move" yesterday but it might have been wishful thinking!
