Sick veiled... Need help...

I have a female veiled chameleon. I've had her a few months, but she was already medium sized when she was purchased.

The last week or two, she's been a very very pale green. It literally looks like a "sick" color. Her upper arms are very thin, as is her tail. She's been very lethargic. Has been sleeping on the ground of the cage & hasn't been eating, drinking or going to the bathroom probably about 3 days, now.

I checked on her last night & literally thought she was dead.

Today, I brought her out in the sun with me on a damp rag. She slightly perked up, but now is laying on her side gasping for air.

WHAT DO I DO???? :(

Hi! I'm sorry your girl is sick :( do you know how old she is and do you know about egg laying? If she's been gaining wait it could be that she has fertile eggs she needs to lay.

Can you please fill this form in (copy and paste) https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/

And here's a link to janns blog on females and egg laying.

However, you may want to rush her to the vet straight away if she's unable to breath.

I hope you guys are ok!

how old is she? maybe she has eggs? Do you have a place for her to lay? honestly, I hate to say it but by they time they are laying on their side it is probably too late. I would just keep her comfortable

Sounds like she is on her way out. If you get her to a vet right now it will be your only chance of saving her IMHO.

I'm so sorry about your girl :/
It sounds like she's getting ready to go, my Pascal died today and he acted the same. Just keep her warm and try to get her to drink something.

I feel your pain!

I can definitely identify, with both of you! I lost my Georgie after a week of constant showers, supplements, a vet visit that revealed she had an obstruction, laxatives, one dose of antibiotics and finally, her passing. I agree with keeping her warm, push the fluids and Get your baby to the vet! Would be nice to see a ray of sunshine and see your little girl pull through. Peace & love!
