Sick Pygmy Need Help Fast

Well, I picked up a juvenile brev at the expo today, he looked very nice and healthy at the expo, and on the way home, when I took him out of his container and put him into his tank, he just stayed in the centre of the cage on the branch I put him on. I came home, and he has moved about two inches and is now black, any suggestions on what to do?

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? 12 by 12 by 18 exo terra tank.
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? No UVB yet.
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? Temps right now is 73. Digital thermometre.
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity? I have a hugrometre, it is staying at around seventy percent, I hand mist the cage.
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? Live and fake, a ficus, unbrella tree, and pothos.
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? It is in my room on my dresser, no fans, drafts stands about five feet off the ground. No high traffic.
Location - Canada, Toronto.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care? I belive it is a male, it is a brev. Almost an adult, I would say juvenile. Two hours.
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? Never unless neccisary.
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? Have not eaten anything yet, I tried pin head crickets.
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? Rep Cal no d3, rep cal with d3, multivitamins.
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? Have not seen drink yet, I hand mist his cage untill moisture rises.

Current Problem - Not moving much in his new cage, pretty black.

Give him a few hours/days to acclimatise. Make sure that he/she has enough water to drink. Do you have many plants in the cage ? Maybe there are too less places to hide

He has lots of hiding places and plants, thanks for the reply, I will be sure to keep it nice and humid in their, also, will he have a problem finding the pinhead crickets? Should I maybe lay some paper towel down for him so they are easier to find? Or do you think he is ok?

Let him alone. Give him some silence. I'm sure he will do better in a few days

He'll be fine finding pinheads or whatever else you put in there for him to eat. Sometimes my brevs get very dark and I worry about them. A day later they are fine. Give him some privacy, keep him humid and not too hot. From what you wrote above, your doing ok. Just don't look at him too much (I know, it's difficult not too!)

Thanks guys, so he will be fine finding pinheads in the cage, about four is a good amount for him to eat.

He may eat more than four. They eat quite a lot for their little size. I have two together, and when I first got them they got 10 2 week old crix everyday. Now they get 10 every second day. Give him a few extra and remove what he doesn't eat before you turn his lights off for the night. You don't want crix picking at him, although I have never had that problem. Good luck with him. They are enjoyable little creatures!

Thats the other thing, I think it is going to be a job and a half to get all those crix out in his cage, I have trouble finding him in their let alone pinhead crix.

Thank you!! I spend several minutes every day just finding my little guys, there in no way with how I have mine planted I could ever find a few crickets. Every time I read this I feel like a failure, but those crickets are in to stay when they go in, same for the fruit flys.

My brev's have turned really dark then they are light again, I have no idea why. Hopefully they will br fine. Let me know how it goes.

I don't pick my crickets out, but I do watch if there are any "left overs". If there are, I reduce my feeding amount. I think if you have a good well planted setup that your pygmy can hide in, it should be almost impossible to pick crix out.
Mine turn from dark to light, sometimes they look patternless, sometimes they have beautiful crazy stripes (esp the female).
Laurie, don't think you are a failure b/c you can't fish out your crickets! If our chams are healthy, then I think that's all that matters.

Thanks guys, and glad I have clearded that up on the cricket thing, I have read that about many other reptiles also, I will try and get some pictures up tonight, I just tried to find him but had no luck
