Sick Nosy be, first time owner.

Oooo well he def doesn't have that. The main things that seem to bother him are his eyes. And he became stumbly , I have been giving him lots of water since I posted Monday and some bug juice too its been pretty miserable outside so i havent been able to give natural sunlight yet but I hope he can pull through, camimom did you see his pics yesterday?

i saw no pics sorry. i just went and searched through your thread.. where are thye?

It posted twice one didn't work, I titled it pictures of little nosy be from yesterday,2nd page of health clinic

i found the pics.. but its kinda hard to see him as they are small.

any chance you can take pics of him up close... on your hand or something?

he doesnt look that bad.

get him some water, some natural sun, and put a bit of weight on him, and he should be just fine.

Well why do you think he's basking? He still won't eat i want to see him grow so bad. I feel like I should leave him alone and let him try n eat?

they bask cuz thats what they do!! :D

my male spends half his day under his basking light.. they arent very mobile creatures.

if you want to put a few bugs i nthere.. go for it.

:) I know! But he hasnt been.basking ! I have some dubias should.I get crickets? I think the forcr feeding rally bothers him. His eyes are still closed although his color looks better..

Him basking now is agood thing, thats normal behavior.. he probably didnt have alot of energy to climb that high, ntm thats wehre his uvb bulb is. and since uvb creates d3....

you should try any an all bugs.. just dont feed too many mealies and supers.

On my way to get crickets now maybe they will spark his interest, should I get a new uvb? I've had it since feb, would that help?

It def cant hurt to replace it. fresh uvb might make him feel good.

I know my chams always head straight for it when i replace them.

Bought some crickets, dusted tiny bit of calcium no d3 and...... He ate!!!! I'm so happy he was on the prowl as soon as he saw the crickets he was doing his little jig and moving around im so happy!! Thankyou for all your help I don't feel like so much of a failed chameleon caretaker anymore ill.make sure and gutload my feeders properly and get him ok the right schedule for his supplements should I continue with calcium? When shpuld I start his other supplements up again?

So I saw my little friend eat one cricket my husband and I were spying on him for about 30 min! Shortly after it was bed time so lights went off, an hour later or so I saw him at the bottom of the cage! I don't know if this is because hes still weak and fell and didnt want to climb back up? So i sorayed some water and he made his way back up and was up by his favorite plant all night, this morning again on floor of cage sprayed water went back up! I saw in another post this could suggest he needs a bigger cage? Threw a few more crickets in today and he was still in hunting mode, any advice?

How big is his current cage?

and him eating is a good thing! sounds like he was bored with roaches. thats why we suggest ou mix up the feeders. no one bug should make up more than 40% of their diet.

He had never tried dubias before since i didnt find them locally until recently same with the hornworms, and be didnt bother with either I'm hoping this is due to him not feeling well and maybe with time he will eat them when I try again.he is currently in a reptibreeze 18x18x36 I purchased a larger cage for him just before he got sick because I was feeling like he wanted more space since he was always at the very top of his cage..but I feel like he's so small still and I don't want him to have trouble finding his food especially not being 100%.

I would upgrade him to a bigger cage.

if you cup feed, he will find it.

just figure out where he spends most of his time, and put the cup near him.

i actually rotate where my cup is in my male veiled cage, so he has to use his hunting instincts, i feel it keeps them stimulated.

also, if he sleeps lower in the cage but goes up to bask in the mornings, its ok.

it is probably ebcaus there is denser foliage lower down, and they want to hide when they are asleep.

my male veiled basks all day, cruises his cage, then goes about halfway down his cage to sleep at night.

and honestly, my male veiled is eh about roaches, my panther.. wont eat them at all.

some, just dont like certain bugs.
