So idk what to do my cham might have heart disease or kidney problems! I have taken him to the vet bc his cask is swollen but everything else seems normal,the only way to get these answers is to spend a few hundred dollars to run a bunch of tests to try and figure out exactly what is going on. I just don't have that kind of money. I'm so lost on what to do has anyone had a cham with any of these problems? thanks

casque swollen pointing to organ failure? Please explain....and some pictures would be great also.

I'm not sure how that can lead to organ failure but my vet was stumped when nothing else seemed to be wrong so she sent pictures to a man who works at cornell university who does work with exotics and thats what he told her i'll post some pics in the morning

they cant assume organ failure just because the casque is swollen!

that could be jsut fat pads, gular edema... anything..

They want to do a blood test which is not cheap and ik it will answer whats happening but I just wish it diden't have to go that far, bc he's gonna hate that

a blood test can actually determine if there is organ failure or some other mineral or nutrient imbalance that could be causing problems.
and unless you do a necropsy, (which hed have to be dead for) im not sure of any other good way to test for organ failure.

You need to have the blood test. Your cham is worth borrowing money for.
