Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - 4 month old female yemen

Supplements - Reptocal with D3 twice monthly RepCal with each feeding
Watering - Little dripper and misting with spray bottle. Misting every morning and evening and afternoon if schedule allows. Yes i see her drink. not every time but often enough to know that she is.
Fecal Description - whitish to tan in color, often times a mix of the two. last few days a bit softer than normal. No she's not been tested for parasites
History - Have had her for a little over 2 months and ordered her online from lll reptile
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen, 24x18x18
Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 uvb. light is turned on around 9 am and shut off around 1030 pm. based around schedule
Temperature - max 80 lowest 70 usually around 80 up top and 70 at bottom. lowest overnight temp is around 70. measured by temp gauge. we also have a small heater in the room where she is kept that is kept around 70.
Humidity - around 40. misting and live plants. humidity gauge
Plants - two small golden pothos
Placement - it is near an air vent that is kept closed a heater in on top of the air vent. Very low traffic area. top of the cage about 4.5 feet up.
Location - central Iowa
Current Problem - She has been keeping her eyes closed and therefore not eating/drinking. Eyes are slightly sunken and she appears dehydrated. She acts as if she isn't feeling well. There is a noticeable difference in her attitude. She is still fairly active. She has been moving about her enclosure with her eyes closed but still moving.
While typing this up we tried to push liquids and noticed that she drank a good amount. since drinking she has been keeping her eyes open and keeping them open wider than what she had been.
This all has just started occurring yesterday. Prior to yesterday she was just fine. Her eyes were wide open, she was eating and drinking, and moving about the cage just fine.
We are not sure what's going on. We are wondering if it may just be dehydration but we've read other posts with similar issues that didn't end well. So we are a bit worried.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
