Showers

My question is how do you guys get your chameleon from his cage to the shower. Also can i see pictures of your setups in the shower. How hot is the water and where to position the shower nozzle. Thanks!!

Most people take the cham out of the cage by putting a hand under the front feet and lifting until you are holding your cham. I do my showers a bit different. I put a tree in the shower, add the cham to the tree, then I hold the shower head so the mist will hit the side of the shower and bounce onto the cham. Chams are cold blooded, so the water needs to be room temp.

I personaly dont like the idea of taking my chams out of their cages, and putting them in my bathroom shower.
For one, it can cause stress, and second, it's not necessary, and to much work.
I know lots of people do it, and thats fine, nothing wrong with it.
But you can do the same thing w/o having to move your cham at all.

I just use a large quart spray bottle, adjust the spray nozzle to make a coarse spray, and spray the chams from above directly on them, so it's like a lite rain. Also, I warm the water a bit.
So it's not a mist, which they would hate, but the drops are bigger.

I spray them untill they are finished drinking, and usually I use up the whole bottle. But they dont run away from it or try to hide.

Sometimes they will climb to a lower branch to catch the drops of water coming down, but it's the best way I have found to get some of them to drink.
No need to take them to the bathroom :D
