Countryside Chams

New Member
my female panther seems to be slightly dehydrated. i noticed this morning that she has a little orange in her stool.(urates?) also her eyes seem to not be as full as usual. i was wondering what the water temp was when you put them in the shower? luke warm, hot, or cool? i am going to try this first, and if i dont see any improvements i will head to the vet. thanks everyone in advance for any replies.
she is about 5 months old, and my setup is from kammers

How have you been misting her so far (method, duration and frequency)?
Do you use any other forms of watering (e.g. a dripper)?

Jason Descamps writes on the Chameleons! Online E-Zine:
"Showering is a method often utilized to re-hydrate a newly acquired chameleon. Showering a chameleon is a fairly simple process that is often relished by any chameleon as a way to not only re-hydrate but also to clean their eyes and skin. To shower your chameleon simply place a medium sized potted plant into your shower directing the spray on about one half of the plant. The water should be warm and gentle to simulate rain. Leaving the chameleon in the shower for 30-45 minutes will allow your chameleon time to drink and clear its eyes of any debris."
