Show me the inside of your Ambanja!

Got back from a frustrating but informative day at the vet with this mysterious gaping issue.

The vet commented on the how yellow his mouth was in places and wondered if that's just normal for some Ambanja's.

Can you upload pics of your Ambanja's open mouth if you have them? Much appreciated.

I don't have any pictures currently but I had an ambanja a couple of years ago that had some yellow around the edges. The rest of the mouth was more of a white color however.

Well I don't have any pics of the mouth wide open but here are a couple that show the coloration in the mouth for the most part. If necessary I can get some open mouth pics tomorrow.

Hope this helps,

That's an easy one with Sid, he's always willing to show his chompers. Good timing too, I ran upstairs to get my camera for something else and saw this. I think it's pretty common for panthers from this area to have yellow mouths. Nothing to worry about, imo.

Appreciate it Todd. Found this on the net. Looks yellow.

The reason is because if it is unnatural it points to kidney issues.

Thanks. He's a WC from last year I talked Mike out of, somehow. I've got some eggs cooking from him and one of Brantley's (FlChams purple bar) daughters. I've just picked up 3 wild caught females in the last month and a half, too. Kinda on an Ambanja kick right now.

VERY nice cham kent!!!

I have a 2 week old ambilobe and a year plus ambilobe and they both have bright yellow in their mouths.
