Should I be worried?

I was wondering is it bad for a chameleon to wake up before his lights go on? I have the lights on a timer and they go on at 9am and off at 9pm but my Cham always wakes up early the sun isn't hitting the cage or anything can this become a problem down the line? And if so how can I fix it? My male Veiled is 3 to 4 months old and extremely active

Yeah my chameleon SOMETIMES, not often, will wake up before I go to turn her lights on. But that is occasionally. My room in the basement does have a large window in it though so the light may wake her up a little early.

How long have you had the chameleon? My guess would be that the previous owner (breeder?) had a light schedule that was more like 7am to 7pm and he's taking some time to adjust.

I got him from flchams so ya he could be getting used to it I have only had him almost a full week But should I extend his time? Or no just keep to the 9am to 9pm?

i try to keep my times set aroudn when the sun comes up and goes down.

mine are near a window so they will stay up or be awake before lights on and off, when i didnt have it set to the sun.

If you want him to be awake from 9am to 9pm, then you might try easing him into it. Set your lights for 8am to 8pm for awhile and if he gets adjusted to that, try 8:30am to 8:30pm.
