I checked again this morning because there was another trail and I found another larger slug.

You can repot the plant and change out the soil to help rid them. You need to shake off as much soil as possible, as they’ll lay their eggs near the roots and just under the soil. They look like little white balls.
haven't gotten slugs yet but I did have some stowaway snails before. They’re actually pretty nutritious/high moisture, if I recall correctly - but def dont want them eating them if they aren’t intentionally raised as feeders. Potted plants have slow release fertilizers and such that the snails prob came into contact with... plus they’re dirtballs.

glad it did the trick! make sure to do it a few times incase they laid eggs. id do it at least once every 2 weeks until you know they are all gone and any eggs have hatched.

I drank a beer last night and had every intention of placing the empty can in the enclosure again but forgot. It's Saturday, so I'll drink another

Being the beer can newbie that I am, I just laid "the trap" down in the cage. I only opened it after removing it to measure the benchmark of success!

I bet all the frog guys who loath snails are like "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!?!" Which is comical, because they are a bit of an elitist board at times.

I made the mistake of temporarily introducing a potted plant to my bio enclosure with a small amount of soil from my compost. Lesson learned.
