ShedEase

I have a Veiled Cham and when I got him he had some stuck shed at the end of his tail. I thought it was from a recent shed but apparently it wasn't. I've had him for a coulpe months now and it has improved but there is still some shed and a little scarring. I was wondering if I could use the Zilla product "ShedEase" on his tail. It says on the label it is cham safe..but you are supposed to soak for 20 mins which is where I got stumped. How do you soak a cham for 20 mins!? It's just the tip of his tail but he isn't very friendly and I obviously don't want to stress him out too much. I also don't want him to loose the tip of his tail so I'd appreciate all ideas and comments!!
Thank you

Uh, I'm not sure about what other people will say, but you could run a shallow, warm bath for your cham and place him in the tub for a while. He might not like it but he certainly won't drown. As for the product, I'm not entirely sure about it nor have I ever used it. I'm sure someone else with chime in with more experience.

Massaging the area with a q-tip and some mineral or cod liver oil would be my suggestion as well.

Chameleo had some strange shedding on his toe that wouldn't go away for weeks after the shed.
As per recommendations, I tried the mineral oil and q-tip. Worked like a charm!

How do I get him to stay put while I apply the mineral oil? I predict it being very challenging to massage his tail seeing as he isn't too fond of me, haha.

That was half the challenge! Definitely not easy.

Mine calms down after a few minutes of hanging out outside of his cage, I just had to wait patiently until then. Even then, he keeps moving his feet once you touch them with a q tip!

I bet other members have better tips for getting your cham to slow down.

Try doing this while he is sleeping, if possible. May be tricky with a curled tail, but if he is a heavy sleeper it may work.
