Shedding...

Randall went through a shed around the 20th of Dec and all seemed fine at first, he shed the top of his back, his legs and his head. But then it stopped! His tail wants to shed and you can see half way down his side that it still need's to shed but won't :( I have misted him every day with warm water to help him and it just seem's like it won't come off, should i be worried about a shed? Here is the picture i took today and you will see what I am talking about. Oh he just turned 6 months old.

I'm a little confused. What is your Misting schedule? How do you mist and How long? What do you keep the humidity at and how? How do you water him and how often? and for how Long?

I hand mist 4 times a day for 3 minutes each time, I have fogger set up with a hose on it with 4 holes on top of his cage and it keeps the humidity up around 50-55% and he will drink the droplets from the fogger. He eats fine and is active. This is why it's odd to me. It doesn't seem to bother him as much as it bothers me lol

Picasso's last shed was the week before Christmas and it seemed like it took 7 days or so before he was completely shed of his skin.

My almost 7 month old veiled seems to be slowing down the shedding. Meaning, they take a lot longer to finish too, so I wouldn't be worried just yet. Just make sure when you do mist his enclosure, that he is getting misted too :). My guy hates it, but I get him really wet when he's shedding. Seems to help speed the process. Just keep an eye on it and I would say so long as it is progressing (however slowly) and not causing him any visible issues, I wouldn't worry just yet.
