Shedding

Hi guys,

Tilly shed a while back and she still has a little patch on her side that hasn't come off. It's just white and has been there a while. We've tried soaking it but it wont come off. We even rubbed gently with a finger but still wont come off. Shall I try a shedding aid, is this ok for chameleons?

Make sure that you use water that is hot enough to come out as a warm mist and she may enjoy it! Tommy hated being misted when I first got him as he wasn't used to being misted (goodness knows how he was ever hydrated enough), but now he loves it and just sits there drinking pretty much as soon as I start misting!:D

My big male Veiled Leon sheds almost continuously, not an uncommon thing in older Veileds so it almost always appears that he has patches of skin on him. This is generally not something to worry much about as long as your humidity is good and it is not related to an underlying issue. My older Oustalet does the same thing to a lesser degree. I do not see it in my Panthers though.
