Shedding

How big does a veiled chameleon's shed skin have to be? I am concerned that my chameleon isn't getting enough of a supplement, because his skin comes off in patches no larger than the size of a penny. He is 5 months old. Any suggestions?

Some come off in patches, others in sections of the body, and when they are little sometimes it all comes off at once. At his age it should all be off after a day or two, but as they age they start to shed in sections. Some adults will shed a couple legs one week, then their head the next, and so on until its all off. If you're worried, amp up the humidity a little.
