Shedding Tips

Hello All, I’m experiencing my chameleons first shed. It looks like it so rough on him and he seems to be getting some of the pieces of skin off okay but there is still a lot on him. I have my mister schedule set for every 2 hours for 30 seconds and sometimes I will hand spay in between if I notice that it wasn’t a long enough mist. Should I be misting more? And all the extra skin that he hasn’t eaten yet that has fallen on the plants should I take it out or leave it there for him to eat later. I just want to know if there’s any tips I can do to make it easier on my baby.

Healthy chameleons do not need any assistance shedding. They do it on their own in the wild 100% of the time. I would not change what you're doing unless the shed ends up stuck and restricting bloodflow to his extremities
