shedding question.

DON'T DO IT !!!!
you could hurt them badly.

the only thing you could do to help them is to mist more often durring the shed...you could also get them wet too. BUT THAT'S IT !

Like others have said, it's best to raise humidity levels and mist them to help with the shedding. Remember to allow everything to dry out in between though, including the cham, so that the shedding skin can dry up and fall off. Pulling the skin before it's ready will damage the tender new skin & scales underneath.

i know you're not supposed to pull off the stuff that is still attatched........but if there's a piece like dangling from his face, is it ok to take that off for him????

THe only time i have ever assisted in the shed, is ONLY when it has been past a few days and the shed will obvisouly not come off on its own.

while it is best to not even help ever, sometimes raising the humidity isn't enough.

there were two spots on my male panther he always had trouble with, the very tip of his tail, and around his ankle.

i noticed it would look tight, so gently i would try to help roll it off or kinda hold a spot that i could get and let him pull away taking the shed off.
