Shedding /food

so i posted recently that my cham wont eat crickets but loves mealworms... i say loves becose he reacts very fast at them but i dont know how much will he eat if i gave him ! for 2 days he eats just 4-5 medium/large crickets- he is almost 5 months old ! a few min ago he started shedding .
could his not so appetite for crickets be becose of the shedding ?
after shedding would he eat more ?
just asking , its our( his but i feel that im so involved ) 1st shedding

Yes, shedding does often affect appetite. He probably will be hungrier when he's done

does this happen all the time before shedding ? the lose of appetite ? or just sometimes ? or just happens to some chams ?

mine shed last tuesday and polished off like 12 crickets before he shed then about 14 the next day

Not all the time, more often when they are younger I think.
If you let him eat as many crickets as he wants, and he is still eating some everyday then you don't need to worry about that.
