She stopped digging!

Desi is now back up in her branches - it is almost her bedtime. She has stopped digging and abandoned her hole. Will she finish tomorrow? Should I cover everything up? Should I give her a new container?

I am perplexed and trying not to worry.

If it is getting close to bed time, then shut the lights off and she will start tomorrow. If she goes back down to dig before lights go out, leave the lights on and let her finish. When Carla laid her first fertile clutch I think she finished covering them far after midnight!

You said..."There is just a little peep hole between the branches and towels"...what have you covered up??? Its supposed to be the sides of the cage you cover up..not things inside the cage.

Before she started to dig I had fake leaves/vines I had over the front of the cage. She started digging and I threw a towel over the front and sides. there is a little space to peek between the towel and a spot of leaves. Of course I didn't cover the inside of the cage.

Just let her be (means no peaking!!!) for the whole day, and you will come home to a covered hole with a treasure box full of eggs! :D
