So lately I have been checking on my 5-6 month old veiled female. The last couple times today she has been eating the laying bin soil! Please tell me why she is doing this, and what I am doing wrong. Thanks!! -Kaia
It's usually said that they are looking for something missing from their diet when they do this.
The danger is that they will become impacted if the substrate they are ingesting won't pass through them.
The problem is that we don't know exactly what they are missing or what substrates will pass through them...so all you can do is make sure you supplement her the best you can with properly fed/gutloaded insects and try to make sure the substrate is not going to clog her up.
