She got a burn!

My veiled Cham was sleeping near the top of her cage. My husband turned on her lights without realizing that they were resting right on her snout because they had fallen overnight. She has black marks on her knees and along her spine as well. Is there anything I can do to make these get better? They are very small and she doesn't seem bothered now, but I want her to be comfortable. The exotic pet vet won't get us in until a week from today :(

it should heal ok but if you can get some Silvadene (aka Silver Sulfadiazine) that can be applied to the burn. It think you need a prescription for that though. Neosporin or polysporin is ok too but I don't know if that works as well for burns. She may loose some of the spikes onher back depending on how bad the burn is.

Check with a local vet...sometimes they are willing to give a sample.
