Sexing brevs?

I'm terrible at sexing pygmies. When I had an unequivocal 1.2, I was never able to convince myself that I could detect any real difference in tail length. Both of my females died last summer. The local pet store (a good store, with proper husbandry and a solid, knowledgeable reptile department) has had a female brev for sale for some time, and I brought her home today. However - I'm beginning to really doubt "she's" female.
When I put her in the EcoTerra, my male started marching her way. The new one put on an array of bold stripes and yellow eye turrets. Male stopped about a foot away. Both ate a couple bugs. Male turned around and walked away. New one pursued after a couple minutes. Male took up what looks like a defensive posture - inflated, green turrets, the same array of longitudinal stripes as the new one. They've now been displaying at each other for about half an hour, from a distance of 5-6 inches.
My only internet at home is through my phone, so the best I can offer is a phone photo of the new one. Is there any chance this animal is female? Is the photo altogether too lousy to tell?

A side photo to see body shape and tail lenght would be good. Can not tell from photo, but behavior does sound male. Try and get another shot. Profile not top view.

Thanks, all. The new one ("Pomelo") is cute and definitely spirited, and I think I'm going to keep him. I've installed temporary physical and visual barriers and their lights have gone out for the night; tomorrow I'll find Pomelo his own quarters. Since he clearly can't be Garbanzo's mate, maybe he can breed with one of Garbanzo's daughters (when she's old enough).
