I think he is young at 6 weeks to have a basking spot of 100 degrees. That may be a bit much for an older veiled. I've got mine at about 92. Are you seeing him eat? I see you are releasing them into the cage. That's a large enclosure for a baby! I would recommend cup feeding so you can monitor how he is eating. You could also put a temporary floor in the cage to make the enclosure smaller if you do not think he is eating enough. Sounds like you are off to a great start!

I agree that basking spot is hot for a baby. I would drop that to about 85 or so. Also, the sticky tongue farms...is that indoor or outdoor? If it is indoor, do NOT use this everyday. The indoor formula has d3 in it. You will want to use that one 2 or three times a month and then you can get the outdoor formular which has no d3 or get another brand calcium with no d3. you will also need to get a multivitamin and use that a couple of times a month .

so i will lower the basking spot and also I have ben trying to cup feed him but he has not found the cup to eat the crickets. that is why I let them loose and I have seen him eat a few of them. if you have any input in helping hi cup feed I would love to have the help.

I was lucky! Zaphod went right to the cup and never looked back. You could try mounting it near a spot where he spends a lot of time and this should help him find it. You will probably see him find it as he travels and it shouldn't take too long.
