I wanted to know if anyone has had superior success with a particular type of tree in comparison to others indoors.
I've recently killed a pathos which is supposed to be the EASIEST (I think it was over-watering in due to the misting) anyway, any tips? I want his tree alive and eventually live vines for him, but to start out with a live tree and fake vines. Gonna get PCP pipe and drape fishing net (tightly).
Will a standard UVB 5.0 reptisun 18'' be fine at the top of the cage as long as theres a basking spot 6" away? Hope to make it with a 5+ foot tree, but I'll cut down some foilage on top so the UVB can better penetrate.
Also, is it good or bad on the stress of chameleons to alternate his permanent cage from "free ranged" to cage? ie; opening two walls when supervised and closing when unsupervised?
Any advice would be very helpful, right now my Melon is not in a great cage and hes stressed from the recent moving around. I want to set up his permanent cage correctly first so he has no more changes for a very long time.
