Setting up misting system nozzles

So, my girlfriend bought me the Exo Terra Monsoon. I know Mist King an Aquazamp are better, but I guess I'll run this until it breaks. :D

Anyways, how do you guys/gals attach your nozzles inside the cages? I've seen some cages that have these triangle pieces on the top of the cage. What's that all about?

Any advice would be great! Thanks.

triangle things? I think thats just a water-catch that forces all the water through the screen. It mimics rainfall as opposed to just spraying the plants and cham directly

I have a hole drilled into the top left of my vivarium that I put the bulkhead through, but a lot of people just zip tie or clip it into place. whatever works

The triangle thing you are talking about is a screen top wedge.

it provides extra stability for the nozzels as well as limiting rattling when the pump goes off

I would highly recommend them. However you can make your own with some PVC sheets and a drill.

I've used the wedges before, They are alright if you're installing in the corners.. I've just been cutting a small "X" in the screen and gently pushing the nozzles through, then threading the nut on the nozzle secures it. I have a double sprayer in the middle on the enclosure... I have a MistKing though, I always thought that the Exo-Terra ones had suction cups on their nozzles... If that's the case you may be able to leave the suction cup on as a base to thread a small wire through to attach it to the screen

I don't use a mist king - I use patio cooling misters, so I don't know how large the hole has to be for your set up, but for mine, I have a chopstick that I sharpened in a pencil sharpener, and I use that to tease a hole in the screen large enough to slip the nozzle hardware through (don't know the word, but not the actual nozzles- my nozzles slide onto a small connector- the connector is only slightly larger than aquarium tubing- the connector is slipped through the screen and then the nozzle is put on the connector inside the cages themselves). The hole, if I am patient, doesn't break the screen- it just pushes the threads apart to make the hole. If I am not so patient, it tears a couple of threads, but nothing much... The result is a tight fit of screen around the hardware.

Would Exo Terra nozzles fit thru those holes? Or are they different size than the Mist kings?

Thanks for the replies all.

I couldn't tell you without knowing dimensions. Maybe someone else on here has done it before I don't know. I have a MistKing and it's wonderful. So not sure if they would fit or not.
