Senior chameleon cage

Hey everybody, been a little but since I've posted but I'm kind of stumped on this one. What do our experienced keepers do for enclosures for senior chams? More specifically for guys that have a harder time moving around the cage. I know thermoregulating can be more of a challenge in a smaller cage, after the challenges me and my mr little have faced I have noticed its getting harder and harder for him to maneuver in his cage. I've followed the docs best instructions but I would love some advice from people that have been there and done that. Currently he is in a 4ftx2ftx2ft repribreeze that is turned horizontally to prevent long falls and still give him an ample amount of room. Given he will be 8 years old this coming November, I've noticed him spending more and more time on the bottom of his cage rather then climbing his vines/branches. Would it be good to have a net a certain distance from the bottom of his cage to keep him up higher? Any advice would be great 👍.
