Well, let's begin with the basic info...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Senegal. In my care for about 5 months. Previous owner stated he was about a year old (took terrible care of him)
Handling - Not often. Maybe once or twice a week when I clean the cage.
Feeding - Previously eating crickets, switched to dubias. Generally ate 4-5 twice a week.
Supplements - Not sure on the brand. He usually gets a vitamin without D3 every other feeding and Herptivite once or twice a month.
Watering - I mist his cage 2-3 times a day. He also has a dripper. (Tried a humidifier but it stressed him out wayyy too much)
Fecal Description - Honestly I'm not sure. My fiance is more the reptile expert. He did have a fecal at the vet and came out all clear.
History - He was a nervous wreck when we got him. Took him to the vet due to sperm plug issues. Honestly seemed to a little down hill after then. A few days ago he pushed out a HUGE plug/scab thing. A little over the length of a fingernail.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - All screen. We have a shower curtain on the back to prevent spraying on the wall. The cage is a good size. Maybe about 3 and half or 4 feet tall.
Lighting - Not sure again. He has a regular light and one for heating (i think) I'm pretty sure its a UVB bulb?
Temperature - Temp in his cage/room varies from 70-80 degrees. It's actually kind of cold right now so he has a small heater in the same room.
Humidity - Anywhere from 70-80% It's gotten as low as 55-60 because of the heater but I do my best to keep it above 70. The humidity and temp are measured by a small digital thermometer I got at a hardware store.
Plants - He has two pothos in the bottom (mainly for looks) and a tree that he climbs on. There are also two of the fake vines that he uses to get from one size to the other.
Placement - In my craft room upstairs. We decided to put him in a room that isn't used too often because of his stress
Location - South Carolina
Current Problem - Right after he pushed out his scab/plug he seemed 110% better (aprox. 9 days ago). I went to check on him about 5 days ago and he was upside down in the middle of his tree. We took some extra screen and made a barrier for him so he wouldn't fall down to the bottom. He has refused to eat for about a week and won't drink for the past 4 days. I've been using a small syringe to give him water during all this and he swallows it but seems to have a hard time. Now he won't even open his eyes. We thought maybe it was just his time to go but I've kept giving him water and he tries to take it. I'm really worried because I don't want him to just wither away and die but I really don't want him in pain. Any help at all would be appreciated.
(I'd like to stress again that my fiance is the reptile person so I apologize if I've left out any key info)
