Senegal Chameleon

For those of you who have Senegals, how long have you had them, and have you tried breeding?

Thanks,
LPR08

I have had quite a few of them live for 5+ years despite being bought as WC adults. Tried breeding a couple of times but never had eggs.

Yeah .... good luck "holding out" for cb/ch senegals.
There is no such thing out there.
They are tricky to breed ... from what I've read, and I have not heard of any successes.
I still plan to try a project with them at some point in the future.

We lost her a few months ago.
She either had a tumor or a clutch of mummified eggs ... didn't do a necropsy to know for sure.
I will work with this species in the future and would love to produce some f1 babies .... other projects are taking precedence now though.

Ok. I'm sorry for the loss. I decided to posibally get a female Veiled for my Male. What size cage would be a minimum for a female Brad?

The smallest enclosure I keep an adult female veiled in is 16x17x30.
I also have one in an 18x18x36 which works well too.
I think these sizes would be good for adult senegals.

I have seen a "captive bred specimen" at least that is what the petstore it was in said;) Whether or not it was true that he was is beyond me. I asked the lady where he came from and she said there is a guy who breeds them in Gaithersburg Maryland. I tried to get more info but she wouldnt give it to me. Probably thought I was just going to buy one off him or that the cham was not CB and she was just blowing smoke up my  This guy was perfect!!! But I wasnt paying 170 for him nor do I buy chams from petshops. Of course he was in a glass cage with substrate, a dripper that hit no leaves just dripped into a bowl. Well she didnt like me suggesting to change a few things so I left.

by the way brad wheres my cb senegals you said you would find some about 4 months ago hahaha see they are few and far between we need to start breeding these i m gettin ready to give it a try. by the way the hatchlings will be around 450$ each hahahaha just kiddin
