Screen Enclosures

I was just wondering the genereal consensus on screen enclosures, good or bad? Pros and Cons?? What type enclosures do you use/find best to use? Pictures Wlecome. Thanks

Screen is usually deemed easier. However, glass can work. There are some environments where the moisture holding aspects of glass overpower the advantages of screen.

Screen is great. I havnt used a terrarium, but I can understand the benifits they could provide. I would think a terraium would be just fine provided its ventilated. Personally I recomend no cage at all!

I feel the same way lol. Is it likely for a sub-adult/adult to try to climb on sides of screen? With the standard sized screen I could see where that might be potentially difficult/hazardous to the CHAM? Or do the realize that it's too small of screen to climb on and just avoid it? Reason I ask is because I read in another thread that, their chameleon lost 2 back toes and sustained lashes on their feet ?? I definatley don't want that in my guys future considering I just purchased him his upgraded future adult enclosure, which is all screen sided.

I have found once they get bigger they dont climb on the screen. I use just aluminium screen from the hardware store on the big rolls they have.

It work great for me! Is light, easy to clean and if you "wrap" it with plastic will even solve the humidity issues you might have!!

Yes, I believe that it is exo-terra that makes a 2x2x4 terrarium. I imagine its pricey though
