Hey. I am thinking about getting a chameleon and i live in cold state where it gets to 0 degrees F during the winter and i want to get a screen cage cause it will come in good handy for the summer. So could i just put like ceran wrap or something like that on the back and sides to keep it wormer and the humidity up during the winter ?

If you heat your house to regular room temps, you should be fine. I live in ontario, with pretty cold winters, -15 C and stuff. my house gets to about 21c through heating, and all i have is a large garbage bag on the back of the screen cage, and 2 heat bulbs. Im using a 2'x2'x4' screen cage, without the second heat bulb the ambient temps of the enclosure were too low, but now my cham has 2 basking spots (although he always chooses one over the other) and the ambient temps are perfect. His cage even heats up my room a bit lol.

hey thanks guys that is really helpful now i am not so worried about keeping one in the winter. so do u leave a light on durning the night then to

The only time lights at night are required is when tepms in the cage drop into the low 60's or high 50's
