i was wondering if it is safe to use savlon cream on a chameleons foot?

i noticed mista has a sore on the bottom of his back left foot.
they are straight lines three one side and one the other. At first i thought it might be a burn but there is no way he could burn there.
My second thought is if he has grabbed something but again i don't know what it could be.
I've tried to get a picture but he is scared of my phone so as soon as i can get one i'll post it.
i won't be able to get to the vet until monday now so i want to put something on it to make him a little bit more confortable but obviously i don't want to make them worse.
Here are some stats for the cream if any one could advise me,thanks in advance

I remember Lily having a small sore on the sole of her foot - right in the crease at the heel end. I seem to remember putting a very tiny spot of something on it but can't remember what! Chameleons heal very slowly though, it'll take a good few months. It might be worth a vet visit to get a specific cream. I don't know if we can get the same creams that the Americans use over here, but there may well be an English equivalent.

yeah Tiff these are either side of the crease,i'm going to take him to the vets Monday, just would like to make him more comfortable untill then.

Here in the US my vet recommends Silvadene Cream for chams.

thanks jann, ive been looking for the uk eqivelant but as yet can't find it

well it seems mista has hurt his ankle rather than his foot.
he is on antibiotics every three days.
if he isn't using his foot by the third injection he is going to get xrayed just to rule out anything else.
As we thought he probly had mbd as a baby but his bone density is perfect now which is such a relief

Poor little chap! Hope he feels better soon. Glad to hear that his bone density is ok! It's nice to get a bit of reassurance that you are doing things right for them!
