Need something to do tomorrow(or today)? Come visit at the Sarasota Reptile show. This show is not typically super-busy, but all of the great vendors and great reptiles will be there. They have some nice informational shows and demonstrations. Very kid friendly. Stop over and say HI! :p

I will post some pics here tomorrow night!:)

Very few actually-it was a VERY slow show. I will post what I have here in a minute-if I got anything good. I came home with a female Pygmy for one of my bachelor males.

The one and only picture-a tiny snake...

I was at the show this afternoon. Did anyone notice the vendor on the left side of the auditorium who had several dead bearded pygy babies at the bottom of the enclosure? People were oohing and ahhing about the ones at the top and apparently hadn't noticed the graveyard at the bottom. It looked like they had been there since yesterday. I don't understand what goes through the minds of not only the people who sell these, but those who buy from them. FL Chams was across the hall with some really nice looking pygmies.

Spadefish why did you not intoduce yourself? I was the female at the FLChams booth. I did notice those poor pygmies in the octagonal fish tank. They looked sad. There were some pretty sick looking Senegals also. People often shop for low prices rather than healthy animals.

I didn't see you there! My daughter was drooling over the gravid Jackson's. Since we are on vacation and wold have to drive the poor thing across 7 states, we decided to wait and get her shipped.

As for the pygmies in the octagonal tank, isn't there a show veterinarian who oversees the animals at the show? The Senegals I saw were pretty dehydrated.

Juli: I see that Mike suckered you in again. LOL!! He's good for stuff like that.... ha ha ha!! :D

LOL-I am going into my third year of "being suckered in" to work Mike's booth at the local shows! I really enjoy it! You get to know all of the other vendors-most are a great group of people-and the discounts from all of those vendors are not a bad perk either! :)

LOL....Yes, being a vendor myself, it does have its perks (most of the time) and there are a lot of fun people out there (you know who you are....). It's so funny how my own home show (NARBC) is the only one I don't do and that's when I get suckered in to work his booth  so, yeah, it's easy to get suckered. :p
