Salt Lamp???

Has anyone have experience including one of these in their set up? Would there be any problem with a Cham being on/near one? they are nice and warm.

Anyone? They give off ionized oxygen, im just thinking maybe if he licks it=bad?

It seems like it would add a nice touch to a set up though.

Is it sealed/waterproof? It's likely going to get wet inside your setup so if it's not waterproof it's an electrocution/fire hazard! I would recommend against it. Also, if it gets wet does the water rolling off of it get salty? I would be concerned about salty water being licked directly off or falling onto leaves and being licked up. Sorry to say, but I don't think it's worth the possible risks. It looks cool, but it is also an unnatural light source that a chameleon would never encounter in real life.

Totally agree, didn't think of that. And yeah, I wouldn't want him to get sick from the salt. Ill keep it outside the cage.
