Salamander...

Well most salamanders are pretty easy to care for given the right enclosure.
A good one to get would be salamandra salamandra the fire salamander.
Mine eats a lot, is pretty active (swimming and walking), and they are quite clumsy at times.

I have a species of salamander that was given to me by a friend... species, I'm not so sure of.
I keep him in a 20 gal with half wet sphagnum moss wet at all times, and another side with dirt mixed with eco earth.
It's a really odd set up but he has been in it for a while now! I'll try to get pictures but no promises since my camera is faulty.

Tiger salamander just needs reasonably deep substrate (I use soil) to burrow in and fresh water to soak in and half a nightcrawler every so often (ours gets one every two or three days, but is overfed). Ours also has a hollow log half to hide under; plants and other furnishings don't really work because they dig. We've had him 4+ years, and he's easy.

I have a 20 gallon tank lying around somewhere. I guess I will start setting it up and find some extra cash. Hopefully I can pay for it.
