so i just fed cooper 7-8 medium crickets and normally when im on the site i take him out so he can explore. is it bad for him to be running around fresh after a feeding? iv had experience with feeder reptiles vomiting out mealworms after eating. do you think the same thing could happen with cooper or anything else? thanks.

Most chameleons don't vomit after being handled unless sick. I would be worried if it happened. Usually that happens with other reptiles like leos and snakes as a fear response. Idk why chameleons don't do it, I think they don't have the correct anatomy for it.

If you stress him a lot he could vomit some of his feeders. He would have to be seriously stressed. I've seen it happen once while I was showing a young chameleon to a buyer. We were talking about husbandry and I didn't notice he had it climbing from hand to hand. We now have a branch stand to show them to buyers so they don't stress.
Just climbing around is Ok.
