Safe timeframe between oviposition and breeding again

Hi there, I have been trying to find a responsible and educated answer to this. Many people have many many different thoughts on this, but what is the safe timeframe between oviposition of a second clutch and rebreeding? I am moreso looking at this from a panther point of view but also for veileds too. Some people have mentioned that it only takes a few months to rebreed during peek seasons in horny be in the wild, and thus this is fine for domesticated breeding, but others beleive that a longer lifespan is contributed to not making them overproduce clutches like they do in the wild, so how long do you guys wait until you breed your females again after they have had their second clutch from the previous breeding?

I don't have a set rule on this. Some females will retain sperm and will lay a couple/few clutches of eggs about a month apart. Obviously you can't stop this.
Other females will not retain sperm and will need to be remated. I usually will look at the female and look at her health and weight when she becomes receptive again. If things look good, she is mated again. If her weight is not where it should be or she is not eating how she should be, then she will not be mated at that time. She will be re-evaluated the next time she is receptive.
As females get older, sometimes the recovery times takes a little longer and are not mated the next time they are receptive.
Egg laying takes its toll on the females. And I'm sure it shortens their life span with each additional clutch they lay.

This seems an intelligent approach.

I personally feel that reducing the frequency and size of clutches can reduce strain on the female and thereby hopefully allow for a longer healthier life.
