i need to know if ground english walnut shell is ok to use for my female veiled cham?

i ask because it was way cheaper at the pet store.

also i bought a "plant" light from lowes and am curious if that will produce the necessary uvb uva light?
the light is 2 foot coupled with the sunglow bulb also from lowes.

I don't know anything about walnut shell, I just use play sand but I do know that the grow lights to NOT produce UVB, they are for the plants and helps brighten things up, that is all. You will definitely need to get a UVB, preferably reptisun5.0
I use the plant light with the reptisun.

Your welcome! you will also need a basking bulb. A lot of people on here use a reg 60 watt house bulb. I use 75 watt basking bulb with a dimmer so I can lower the amount of heat. I go through cold winters and have large cages, use whatever bulb gets your desired temps. Enjoy your chameleon they are so awesome and addicting
