Sad Day:(

Got home from my 9 day camping/hiking/fishing trip to find out my Jacksonii Dino had passed away

I left him in the care of a co-worker (main chameleon guy at work) and best I can tell he did a horrible job. Everyone told me Dino died 3 days after I left, he was sucked up looking (dehydrated) my hibiscus was NUKED, like not even a live leaf left and there were medium-large crickets in the cage...(way to big for 3 month old jacksonii jacksonii)

Needless to say...going to have a physical chat with mini-bob marley when he gets back from vaca (SD people know)

now I just have a sad empty cage in the corner

Man that is really sad to hear. Luckily my roommate is compitent enough to mist a lot throughout the day and fill drippers. Sorry for your loss.

what a damn shame, but also keep in mind, for a young cham, jacksons are a tough species when they are young.
granted, 3 days to kill something is really really fast.

the parents of Dino sold too, or I would have brought them home
jack jacks need ALOT of misting and I made that known

Lesson learned, investing in mistking kit, then saving/waiting for the right ambilobe

gonna take me some time to find another jacksonii

Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my first jacksonii back in 97' when I was on vacation too. Left him with my boyfriend, god only knows what he did.

Damn! That sucks. I was gonna say why didn't you get ahold of me to babysit but, then, like others have said, they are tough to get past 4 months and I'd feel super bad if it had happened under my watch. Hopefully in a few months I'll have what could be the first (?) 2nd generation of this subspecies in the US so I'll keep you updated. Hopefully you don't take it out too hard on your babysitter, mini-Bob.
