?s About Live Plants

So I'm probably going to go get some live plants for my rudis chameleon today. I'm deciding either a pothos plant or a dwarf schefflera, but I lack any gardening skills and I have no idea what to do when it comes to pruning. I also heard dwarf scheffleras are susceptible to spider mites? I hate spiders.

And the pathos plants look like the fall out of the pot, rather then grow rigid stems, so should i ziptie the plants to the sides of the cage?

Pothos doesnt really have branches or support for climbing. I like to hang it and let it work as a filler for humidity and holding water droplets during misting sessions.

The three you want to use for major branch support are sheffelera (make sure it is the RIGHT kind), ficus, hibiscus.

I use the shefflera arboricola myself. It is very hearty. The roots can take a beating, and you don't need experience to trim it. Just start cutting off what you see fit, and bend the branches how you want.

Check out this post for potting.

or google, how to pot a plant.

I don't have spider mites on mine, just use good soil and buy good plants.

Here is what my cage looks like so you can have some ideas:

Actually pothos vines r quite strong. I have always liked the pothos from a child. They grow really well in alot of different conditions. I would however get as many plants as possible to change out with each other incase u have a cham that will eat it faster then it grows. I would also get the sheff and whatever other safe plant u can get.
