Ruwenzori Chameleon

thanks for the tip Benny, but by what kind of fans are you refering too? i dont quite like the idea of ac because i do know that that does dry the atmosphere out/ that is why i stated that i keep my vent closed or open just a very small bit. my isolating fan however is on a low setting with the window open to circulate the humidity from the outside heat, and the ceiling fan to keep the room cool. seems to work good enough because my temps and humidity usually stay the same most days. on others, i just cant help it but to crank it all up (which is seldom) winter is approaching and this will be an differents story.

I recommend the ones which are built in computers. You can place them on the top, the screen and put them this way round that they take the air outside the enclosure. One of those big suppliers, reptimed ?, have them with a electronic control gear so that you just need to put them socket

Anyway, heat lamp with a timer -- I use automatic thermostats but they are more expensive.

Thank you, that would be wonderful. I have been looking everywhere and since I live in Alberta, our winters are cold and this summer was nothing to hop up and down about. What do you think about the wet moss like I was recommended?

Thank you Chris for clearing this up for me. Any ideas on husbandry for this type of chameleon. Have been told, no basking light, 5.0 UVA/UVB light, wet moss on bottom of enclosure and to be kept wet at all times. I currently have a small 50 basking light and this little guy is up under it all the time. Have not had it on during the last few days as the days have been warmer here in Alberta. Should I have a basking light as our winters are cold???

A basklight is in general good but when you use it with submontane species only in combination with timer, like seeco told you
