So, I'm reposting again cause I keep getting pushed back and forth of where to post lol, so here it goes again. My cham has been great for almost 2 months now, but last week he drooled while drinking. Hes only done it once, but it was new. His stools are also becoming liquidy. He has eaten about 3 superworms over the last couple days, and he usually eats 4+ a day. Any info is helpful!
Heres the outline:
Cage Info:
Cage Type - 2x2x4 aluminum screen
Lighting - ReptiSun 5.0 UVB 48'' (2 cages), 120 watt household bulb with ceramic dome, 12 hours on, 12 off
Temperature - 85 F @ Basking Spot, 77 at bottom of cage, 80 average
Humidity - it ranges from 41 to 78 using humidifier, runs 1 hr at 4AM, 10AM,and 4PM
Plants - Ficus, 3 fake, dry branches
Placement - Back of bedroom near blinded window with sheet cover
Location - Tempe, AZ. 106 outside, but constant 80 in room
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male Panther, 1 year 3 months
Handling - Minimal. Only if he fell while climbing screen or for a minute if he climbs onto hand while feeding.
Feeding - 4+ Gut loaded (total bites) and dusted superworms
Supplements - Shaker mixed with 3/4 calcium/d3, 1/4 multivitamin. Dusted superworms every feeding, but backed off past week.
Watering - humidifier 3 times a day, manual spraying on screen and tree for 1 minute twice a day. He drinks drops from screen and actual bottle. Brita filtered water (tap water too hard)
Fecal Description - Was dark oval with orange/white urate. Now almost completely runny brown mix. No parasites checked.
History - Got him from local breeder on June 5th
Current Problem - Drooled once while drinking, tilts head back afterwards, minimal eating, runny mixed stool.
