im still in my beginner stages of owning a cham, but right now the temps in the metro detroit area are in the mid 90s and the temperature as of now (12:30am) outside is 88* with ultra high humidity. my question is should i be running my basking light still? his cage is hotter then i would like it already..i could run to the store and get a light wattage bulb if need be. i have looked for threads dealing with high ambient temperature but havent found much.

edit: similar threads function down below answered my question.

Dont put the fan directly On him. I have a ceiling fan that runs and a clip On fan, but I don't point it in their cages, it's more for moving air around in the room. My Cham room is very large though.
