Rudis chameleon addicted to reptisun

My rudis chameleon is absolutely addicted to his reptisun 5.0 fluorescent tube. He spends most of the day basking right underneath it, he looks very happy and very very healthy. But I was wondering if I should be concerned? He is like a crack addict when it comes to his fluorescent tube .

My male Veiled does the same.

He will warm up under his basking light in the morning, then spend most of the day under his UV bulb.

It seems that as long as the chameleon can escape from the UVB, it will. The rudis might just be soaking up the reptisun after an absence of proper UVB.

How old is the tube?? Maybe the UVB component is gone?

It is a brand new reptisun 5.0, 18 inch.
