Roaming Not Basking?

Phineas asked to go out today in the sweltering NJ heat (ha ha). Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody else's chams just roam around when they are outside instead of picking a spot and enjoying the sun. Every time I have taken Phineas out, he wanders down the deck, around the yard, garden, and then picks a tree to climb. Licking everything along the way, I might add. I only let him get about 5.5 feet up before I take him down. But do others have chams that love to roam?

Hey you could try getting some insect screening and making a play house fir him. All you gotta do is make a frame out of cheap wood than u can set it over a shrub or something and not have tO worry about him getting away. I think it's common for the to want to explore.

He has a 3x3x6 outdoor cage! He's okay in that for a bit, but then rubs at the door to get out and explore. How can I resist giving the little guy what he wants!

Yes.. Everytime i've taken my chams out they go EVERYWHERE! of course i keep on eye them the whole time and do as you do taking them down. But, i think its like a new area to them so they want to see whats going on! :)

Thanks. With all the pics people post holding their chams so nicely, I was just wondering if hardly ever being still was normal!
