road trip

Hey guys,
My family and I are going on a road trip from the Bay Area to Tacoma, WA for about a week. My chameleon is free range but is also used to smaller road trips and he is not caged during the trip unless he goes in it. He is a panther who is 14 months. Do you guys think its ok to take him? I dont really have another option. And I've never been away from him for that long :(

I wouldn't take my chameleons on a road trip. I'd either find a friend/family member they can board with for the week, or who is willing to come to my house and care for them!

There's no good reason for a chameleon to be taken on a road trip. He only gets stressed a lot. I got friends who care for my animals during my vacation time, too. Think it's the best way for the chameleons.

I would think living in the bay area that if you post here that you need a cham sitter, you have a very good chance of finding one. That would be my first choice. After all the other possibilities are exhausted, I would take him with me. That sounds like a hassle for you and the family and a good bit of stress for your cham.
