Roaches produce milk??!!

Cockroach milk is a protein rich, crystallized substance produced by a specific type of cockroach called Diploptera punctata (1Trusted Source).

This species is unique because it gives birth to live offspring. Members make “milk” in the form of protein crystals to serve as food for their developing young (1Trusted Source).

OK, there's a credibility issue right there. Dubia roaches (Blaptica dubia) also bear live offspring, so it's not "unique". It's not true live birth with either species, but IDK how similar or identical the process is between these 2 species. I also don't know if this type of birth applies to any of the remaining ~4600 species of cockroaches. Just sayin'... ?‍♂️

Chill out, pervs—they don't actually tell you How to Milk a Cockroach (not without killing it, anyway.) :cautious:

Goggle:
cockroach milk; there's a LOT out there—pervy & otherwise. :ROFLMAO:

[Insert obscure "Joe's Apartment" reference here] :p

Could be worse, you want to know how flamingos get their "pink"? Mom and dad puke super pink milk into babby.

@Mrjamwin Did you read the article I posted?
"However, harvesting this milk-like substance is currently a labor-intensive process. It involves killing a female cockroach and her embryos once it begins to lactate and then harvesting the crystals from its midgut"...

"According to one of the co-authors of a popular study on cockroach milk, it’s currently infeasible to mass-produce cockroach milk. The co-author estimates that it would take killing more than 1,000 cockroaches to make just 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of the milk"...
