Roaches eating egg flats

The egg flats I have with my Dubias look like they've been eating it a little bit.

I have been pretty good about keeping food with them, but they still have eaten it.

I am a little worried about feeding these to my cham now. Would they be harmful at all?

Ok seriously though. That is odd mine don't eat theirs. @jamest0o0 do you know if there would be an issue for the OP feeding off the roaches if they have been eating the crates?

Do you put the food on top of the egg cartons?

They usually chew if there is food or water on something. It doesn't matter though, I wouldn't worry in the slightest.

I have been putting the food on the substrate - I guess sometimes it could lean on one of them if it's a bigger slice of squash/zucchini or something. But the one with holes wasnt very close to the place where i usually put food.

My dubias occasionally chomp on the PT & TP tubes I keep them in―usually, only when I've been late or insufficient with other food. Never been a problem; it's primarily cellulose, which is the most common organic polymer on earth, comprises the cell walls of all green plants, & many animal cells. IDK about dubias in particular, but many insects can digest cellulose.

Also, what goes in, comes out. Eventually, undigested matter should pass, and be replaced by good gut load stuff.
