Papaya beetles... REMEMBER, it's Papaya beetles.
For where we live adding heat isn't going to be required
you can do it if you want...
but honestly you would be better off saving your utility bill imo
if you keep a few chams in their own room heat isn't going to be a problem.
with all those light bulbs burning away it'll be warm enough.
I use egg crates and paper towel rolls
everything is DYI
I make my own dry chow
water is provided by fruit slices (Henry's weekly special)
and it all seems to be more than enough.
I haven't "cleaned" the tub in 8 months and have only bothered to remove
spoiled fruit and refill the dry food trays. they're that easy.
You've just gotta remember to tell the females that come over that they're
"Hawaiian papaya flower beetles" Thats very important.
and followup with "how valuable they are in the pollination of all the papaya flowers....
on the papaya plantations.... "
Do that, and she won't freak out and run off into the night screaming.
If you forget, you'll find yourself alone watching Conan O'brian that evening.
oh yeah, water crystals can also be used ...
but it's kinda another thing to get dirty & clean up
I'd rather feed them something juicy and full of sugar.
I can get you a few starter roaches at our next meet up.
hummmm how much beer are roaches worth nowdays?
